ND FCCLA Chapters Are Challenged to Raise Money for Foster Hope!

This year, North Dakota FCCLA is proud to partner with Foster Hope for our state service project. By joining forces with these impactful organizations, our members have a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families across North Dakota – truly living out the FCCLA mission of service and leadership.

About Foster Hope…
Foster Hope is a North Dakota nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children in foster care and the families who care for them. Through community partnerships, donation drives, and outreach events, Foster Hope provides essential items—such as clothing, hygiene products, toys, and comfort items—to ensure that every child entering foster care feels valued, supported, and loved.

Foster Hope’s mission is to bring hope, dignity, and stability to children in foster care by meeting their immediate needs and raising awareness about the importance of foster families in our communities.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Donation Drives — FCCLA chapters can organize drives to collect new pajamas, socks, underwear, personal care items, or comfort items such as stuffed animals and blankets for children in foster care.
• Packing Events — Host a local “Hope Bag” packing event where members assemble care kits filled with donated items to be delivered to Foster Hope.
• Awareness Campaigns — Create posters, social media posts, or presentations that help educate your school and community about the needs of foster children in North Dakota. 

Fundraising Ideas for FCCLA Chapters

• “Hope for Kids” Night — Host a family fun night, talent show, or community meal, with proceeds going directly to Foster Hope.
• Change for Children — Collect spare change in classrooms or local businesses to donate toward Foster Hope’s mission.
• Sponsor-a-Bag Program — Encourage community members to sponsor “Hope Bags,” which provide essential comfort items for children entering foster care.

By participating in these activities, ND FCCLA members can embrace the 2025-2026 theme, “Connected,” by strengthening bonds within their schools, communities, and across North Dakota.

Together, we can stay Connected through compassion, service, and hope—creating a positive impact that reaches every corner of our state.
